Sander Resources is a growing consulting and technology firm that works with the energy industry to protect the stakeholders touched by their operations, the communities in which they operate, and the infrastructure that makes daily life possible. We are headquartered in Austin, Texas, however our team is geographically distributed and works remotely. We are seeking a talented professional to join our team and focus on our growing marketing and communications needs. This position will involve the responsibilities identified below. The ideal candidate is loyal, intelligent, dynamic and creative, a self-starter but still willing to learn, with a sense of humor (this is essential), and the grit to get the job done – whatever the job may be. Most of all, we are looking for an individual who believes in our clients as much as we do.
Responsibilities:
- Develop communications materials supporting our team, our clients’ needs, as well as our growing list of services and products;
- Display ownership of end-to-end campaign development and marketing strategy for both internal and external brands (Buxus, DigiManuals, and Safe Excavator);
- Manage the development and maintenance of both marketing and communications materials;
- Serve as the first point of contact for all social and electronic media platforms;
- Gather and analyze performance data and distill it into actionable, easy-to-understand business insights;
- Work closely with external and internal stakeholders to develop innovative marketing campaigns and materials;
- Coordinate efforts with other departments on promotions, strategy, and budget on a regular basis;
- Continually collaborate and optimize company ROI on leads, marketing spends, and sales efforts;
- Manage our media channels, including social media presence and performance using Google Analytics;
- Write and edit text for a variety of projects and reports;
- Support company business development activities, including conferences;
- Provide monthly reporting and present at team meetings;
- Coordinate with outside vendors;
- Measure KPI’s to ensure desired performance; and
- Other duties as assigned.

Requirements
Key Skills:
- Four-year degree in marketing, business, business administration, or equivalent work experience;
- Spanish language proficiency and a background in the energy space is a plus, but not required;
- Valid driver’s license and good driving record;
- Competency using analytical software including Apple products and the Microsoft Office suite of programs;
- Strong communication skills (written, oral and presentation);
- Ability to think creatively;
- Exceptional attention to detail;
- Demonstrated understanding of, and ability to leverage, electronic and social media and technology;
- Cheerful and flexible when dealing with shifting client priorities;
- Excellent organizational and time management skills;
- Proficiency to manage complex projects and multiple priorities with minimal supervision;
- High motivation level, self-starter, quick learner, efficient worker with proven ability to produce high quality results;
- Comfortable in a high-intensity environment, able to focus, prioritize, multitask and maintain confidentiality;
- Excellent problem-solving abilities;
- Ability to network and obtain necessary content to drive traffic on all social media platforms;
- Professional appearance and demeanor with good business phone etiquette.
Additional Advantages:
Persons with military and emergency response experience, or communications environments dealing with stakeholder engagement will be at an advantage. A person with experience in a start-up environment will also have an advantage in understanding the needs of the team and growth opportunities. Have both – you will likely be a rock star.
This position requires an average of 40 to 50 hours per week during standard business hours. Some travel and occasional night and weekend hours may be required.
